About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join its established critical care team at HCA Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Georgia. This full-time ICU role follows a 7-days-on/7-days-off block schedule, with 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The ICU uses an open model, and ICU/PCU patients are co-managed with tele-ICU support. There is no on-site intensivist coverage, and advanced practice clinicians work with a high degree of autonomy while receiving support from a collaborative clinical team.

The clinician is responsible for rounding, admissions, histories and physicals, order entry, and discharges. The position involves up to three daytime admissions per day. Surgeons manage their own consults and admissions. Procedures are not required; experience with central line placement and intubation is a plus.

HCA Memorial Satilla Health is a 231-bed comprehensive acute care facility with emergency medicine, cardiovascular care, orthopedics, surgery, rehabilitation, women's services, and behavioral health. The hospital has strong specialty support and uses Meditech as its EMR.

Requirements

• Licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• ICU advanced practice clinician experience required.
• Prior critical care experience required.
• Ability to practice independently and manage ICU patients autonomously.

Nice To Haves

• Acute care certification for nurse practitioners preferred.
• Experience with central line placement and intubation is a plus.

Responsibilities
