Staff Nurse - Pediatric Inpatient and Outpatient Dialysis
About The Position
The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. This is a 100% effort, 40 hours per week position with day shifts, Monday - Friday, located at Stead Family Children’s Hospital (SFCH). The role includes rotations for call every 3-6 weeks, with 1-3 night calls per week. The salary starts at a minimum of $60,000 at 100% effort, commensurate with experience and percent of effort, and does not include differentials.
Requirements
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions
- General computer skills are required
Nice To Haves
- 2 years current or recent (within last 12 months) acute pediatrics or adult care experience; must include experience caring for renal/dialysis patients
