About The Position

As part of our interdisciplinary oncology team, you will provide safe, compassionate, and personalized care to patients receiving infusion therapy. You will assess patients, administer antineoplastic and supportive medications, monitor treatment response, provide education, and coordinate care with providers and other members of the care team to support an exceptional patient experience. MLH Nurses can pursue certifications or advanced nursing degrees (BSN, MSN, MBA, PhD, DNP) by taking advantage of our Tuition Reimbursement Program. This position is eligible for up to $6,000 per year based upon your Full or Part Time status. You can become engaged by joining hospital & system-wide Nursing Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, precepting new staff, and pursuing the Clinical Ladder program. Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania RN license or a multistate license verified in one of the approved states through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • RN Diploma or ASN required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of recent oncology, infusion, or comparable acute care nursing experience.
  • Experience administering antineoplastic therapies, immunotherapies, blood products, and supportive medications.
  • Experience with vascular access devices and patient education.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Provider BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
  • Oncology Nursing Society chemotherapy and immunotherapy provider certification preferred; required within the timeframe established by the department.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse certification preferred.
