The University of Iowa Health Care, recognized as one of the best hospitals in the United States, is Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center and a regional referral center. This 26-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides comprehensive high-tech intensive care to acutely ill adults with a wide variety of complex critically ill patients with multiple medical issues who demonstrate a deterioration of health requiring critical care nursing.
