Requirements
- Currently working in ICU or Cath Lab or within the last 2 years Critical Care nursing experience required, primarily in cardiovascular nursing
- Registered Nurse: CA RN License
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 90 Days
- Angiographic experience desired
- Cath Lab experience
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe therapeutic care for patients: Assessment, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation
- Utilizes the nursing process to identify and meet educational and discharge needs of the patients
- Identifies changes in patients' condition and intervenes appropriately.
- Provides critical care level of patient care.
- Works collaboratively with physicians.
- Review orders.
- Reports abnormal lab values and significant changes in patient findings.
- Works collaboratively with patients and family to establish a plan of care, which would include an assessment of psychosocial needs.
- Obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required.
- Possesses knowledge of medications and demonstrates ability to dispense medications as per FHMC standards.
- Demonstrates knowledge and safe operation of equipment pertinent to patient care and unit management.
- Demonstrates appropriate use, monitoring and administration of IVs as per FHMC standards.
