Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides perioperative nursing support across multiple surgical specialties and campuses, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for functioning in both the scrub nurse and circulating nurse roles, utilizing specialized clinical knowledge and skills to support surgical procedures. The Float Pool RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes, maintain a safe surgical environment, and ensure adherence to established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. The position requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in diverse perioperative settings while supporting operational and staffing needs.
