About The Position
As part of a multidisciplinary team, provide care to cardiac, vascular, interventional radiology and neuro patients in the Cath Lab. Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, circulating, and sedation administration during invasive procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- NIH Stroke certification required (can be obtained after 3 months of hire).
- Current CA RN license.
- AHA ACLS.
- BLS.
- Proficient in IV starts.
- Proficient in EKG interpretation.
- Minimum 2 years acute care hospital experience.
- Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience.
- Critical Care experience required (CCU, ED).
- Moderate Sedation experience required.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- CEN certification preferred.
- RCIS certification preferred.
- Strong Cardiac, Structural Heart, Neuro IR background.
- Experience in Cardiac IR, Vascular IR, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to cardiac, vascular, interventional radiology and neuro patients in the Cath Lab.
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring.
- Circulate during invasive procedures.
- Administer sedation during invasive procedures.
- Interpret EKGs.
- Start IVs.
- Stand for long periods with lead aprons.
- Hold femoral artery pressure for 30 minutes.
- Support a fast-paced interventional lab.
- Circulate, monitor, and provide pre/post care in the Cath Lab.
