Float Pool Nurses Make it Possible. Staff Nurse – RN – Critical Care Float - Full time - Nights. As a float pool nurse, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple world-renowned specialties to deliver hope and healing to patients from around the world in some of our most high acuity areas. This role supports the NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center Critical Care inpatient units including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Step-Down Units and more. Nurses in this dynamic role support the state-of-the-art Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and by playing a critical role in maternal emergency response. You’ll have the freedom to explore new specialties and experiences in your nursing career and gain exposure to a broad range of challenges on our highly specialized units. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current NYS RN licensure
- BCLS and ACLS certification
- Proven experience to work autonomously in high pressure situations
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum two years’ experience as a Critical Care RN
- SDU experience
- Cardiac Surgical experience
- Experience with caring for Post-Cesarean Section patients/ Obstetrical emergencies
