Staff Nurse-Emergency Room-Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Night position at Evanston Hospital is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week on the night shift (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends. The nurse will provide direct nursing care to all patient populations within the department, utilizing the nursing process for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, assuming accountability for nursing care outcomes, and guiding unlicensed nursing personnel. The role also emphasizes contributing positively to safety outcomes and promoting a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred
- Minimum 1-year current hospital nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice
- Assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care
