About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process to develop a plan of nursing care. Coordinates and delivers care to surgical, special procedure, and pain clinic patients of all ages. Assists patients in the admission, pre and postsurgical care including recovery room and discharge of patients. The RN assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, directing, supervising, evaluating direct and indirect nursing care, and identifying outcomes for patients in the Perioperative setting.

Requirements

Certificate of completion from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing.
The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.
1 - 2 years relevant experience
California Registered Nurse (RN) Upon Hire
Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) Within 3 months of hire into job
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Upon hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Within 3 months of hire into job
BLS/ACLS/PALS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification) Within 3 months of hire into job
Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR)/EPIC experience preferred.
Leadership ability
Previous PACU, ICU, or ER experience

Assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to promote optimal patient outcomes by team collaboration.

Manages follow-up care.
