Staff Network Engineer
About The Position
Mural Group is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Staff Network Engineer to design the network fabrics behind large-scale AI inference. The role is onsite in Dallas, San Francisco, or New York, and involves ownership of data center and AI cluster network design, from high-level design through bill-of-materials review. The engineer will design leaf-spine fabrics for front-end, back-end, and storage networks; plan capacity and traffic engineering for high-bandwidth AI workloads; build labs and validate failure scenarios; establish network automation and observability standards; and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years designing large-scale data center networks.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP and BGP.
- Experience with EVPN/VXLAN.
- Experience with 100G/400G Ethernet, optics, and cabling.
- Experience with Arista, Cisco, Juniper, or NVIDIA platforms.
- Python and API-driven automation.
Nice To Haves
- InfiniBand or RoCE experience (strongly preferred).
- RDMA and lossless Ethernet experience.
- SONiC, NetBox, or Nautobot experience.
