As a Staff Mobile Engineer, you will be a key technical leader responsible for the development and scaling of Solace's mobile application. This role involves writing production code daily, making architectural decisions, and establishing high standards for mobile engineering. The ideal candidate is an expert in React Native with experience in building mobile apps from the ground up, understanding potential challenges, and delivering quality products efficiently. The role requires thriving in ambiguous environments, demonstrating urgency, and having a strong bias for action. The mobile product developed will be central to the company's growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of mobile engineering experience with deep expertise in React Native.
- A track record of having spun up multiple mobile applications from scratch throughout your career.
- Strong experience integrating external APIs and third-party SDKs into production mobile apps.
- Mastery of TypeScript in a React Native context, with a proven ability to ship production-grade applications.
- A strong background in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and app store deployment.
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments where you've built products from zero to one.
- Ability to set technical direction and mentor engineers, helping them grow in their craft.
- An extreme bias toward action and execution — you move fast, iterate quickly, and get things done.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of our mobile application, from architecture to shipped features.
- Build and maintain integrations with external APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into polished, performant mobile experiences.
- Architect the mobile app for scalability, maintainability, and a best-in-class user experience.
- Champion code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices specific to mobile development.
- Mentor engineers on mobile best practices and act as a force multiplier for the broader team.
