In this role, you will be working in a high-performance IT engineering team building and sustaining the software and manufacturing systems that keep Qorvo's fabs running. You’ll directly support Qorvo R&D and manufacturing teams, own end-to-end solutions (design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot), partner closely with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders, and help shape system architecture as the company modernizes and scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience in software development using object-oriented language that follows complete development life cycle for Windows/Linux
  • Familiarity with web and front-end frameworks (.NET, Django, React, Knockout JS)
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, MSSQL)

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with manufacturing systems within the semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • Experience with development and support of manufacturing systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems in particular strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Siemens OpCenter Manufacturing Execution System
  • Familiarity with Windows Services
  • Familiarity with test-driven development methodologies, structured refactoring methodologies, design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM).
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

Responsibilities

  • Support existing Manufacturing Systems and Applications.
  • Software development, deployment, and troubleshooting of customer-centric services and applications for manufacturing automation.
  • Adheres to coding standards, pattern-based development principles and participates in coding review to help maintain and preserve established, best practices coding outcomes.
  • Maintains awareness of technology trends and identifies opportunities for potential assimilation into existing systems while prioritizing stability and consistency.
