About The Position

Pall Corporation, a Danaher company, is a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification. This role is responsible for determining the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up through satisfactory production. The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing operations by improving safety, ergonomics, on-time delivery, productivity, and increasing yields. This includes identifying and developing production, assembly, and test processes and procedures to ensure products are manufactured in the safest and most economical manner, while adhering to quality characteristics and product design integrity. The position is part of the Engineering Department and will be located in Cortland, NY.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with 5 - 7 years professional experience (Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering)
Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point.

Nice To Haves

Minitab is a plus.
Experience with Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing a plus.
Knowledge of PLC programming a plus.

Responsibilities

Action plan-problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Partner with direct manufacturing operations in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery to external customers.
Ensure all related routing, fixtures, tooling, procedures, processes, etc. are appropriate and safely in place for manufacturing for assigned product lines.
Focus on reduction in process variation, waste reduction, standard work creation, preventative maintenance, process and quality upsets and optimized cell design.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control concepts and initiatives.
Participate in the New Product Introduction Team.
