Requirements

  • Over 7+ years of experience as a Linux Developer, Kernel Engineer or Software Engineer
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in Linux development, including C/C++, Python, or Shell scripting
  • Strong knowledge of Linux subsystems and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPsec etc.)
  • Hands-on expertise with virtual machines (VMs), including hypervisors (e.g., VMware, KVM, or VirtualBox) and optimizing resource allocation and virtualization laye
  • Proficiency in container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, with experience in building, deploying, and debugging containerized applications
  • Exposure to common security protocols and their design (SSH, IPsec, TLS etc.), and ability to understand security standard requirements and apply them to products.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging and profiling tools
  • Familiarity with open-source development practices and collaboration with open-source communities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based software following best practices
  • Debug and enhance code for performance and issue resolution
  • Automate development and testing workflows with scripts and tools
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including design specs and APIs
  • Stay updated with Linux advancements through open-source collaboration.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, and hardware teams, to ensure successful project execution
