About The Position

This role focuses on technical leadership within the IoT Cloud Engineering domain. The engineer will be responsible for defining and evolving cloud platform architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices. They will drive technical strategy, architectural decisions, and evaluate emerging technologies to improve business and customer outcomes. The position also involves serving as a trusted technical advisor to engineering leadership and product stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Define and evolve cloud platform architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions.

  • Design, implement, and optimize distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and data platforms.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure solutions align with security, reliability, performance, and cost objectives.
  • Drive adoption of cloud infrastructure automation, observability and resiliency.
  • Maintain standards for CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, and platform governance.
  • Partner with mobile, embedded, QA, UX, and IT teams to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment between teams and help resolve complex technical and organizational challenges.
  • Lead technical planning for large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Build consensus around architectural direction while balancing short-term delivery and long-term maintainability.
  • Mentor engineers at all levels and help develop future technical leaders.
  • Provide guidance on architecture, system design, debugging, and engineering practices.
  • Create opportunities for knowledge sharing and technical skill development.
  • Foster a culture of technical curiosity, continuous improvement, and accountability.
