The Staff Infrastructure and Platform Engineer is a hands-on builder on the platform team, implementing and operating the pipeline, shared services, and environments under standards and reliability practices set by the Sr Infrastructure & Platform Engineer and the Director. The role focuses on putting platform capabilities into product teams’ hands and keeping them reliable. It builds to established standards rather than defining them, with the opportunity to take on deeper ownership over time. Success means expanding the paved road’s coverage and maintaining dependable day-to-day platform operations to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The role includes building and maintaining golden-path pipeline features, shared services, and environments; implementing infrastructure-as-code; participating in monitoring, alerting, the on-call rotation, incident response, and post-incident problem solving; supporting platform service-level objectives; helping product teams onboard to the paved road; maintaining technical documentation; and raising standards gaps with proposed patterns instead of local workarounds. The role requires legal authorization to work in the United States and access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment is contingent on proving U.S. Person status as a U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or person granted asylee or refugee status. GE Aerospace will not sponsor employment visas for this job. The position is remote. The listed annual base pay range is $112,000 to $165,000, and the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The posting is expected to close on November 2, 2026.
