  • Internship experience, public accounting experience, or relevant accounting experience

  • Experience with governmental entities, the Auditor of State, or government audit engagements
  • Exposure to construction, engineering, or public infrastructure organizations
  • CPA eligibility or progress toward certification

Responsibilities

  • Participate in audits, reviews, and other assurance engagements for government entities and related organizations.
  • Work closely with senior team members to perform testing, prepare workpapers, analyze financial information, and assist in developing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Take on increasing responsibility, interact more directly with clients, and expand knowledge of government auditing standards, compliance requirements, and industry-specific issues.
  • Learn from experienced professionals while building the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success in public accounting.
  • Complete audit work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Ensure workpapers and documentation are thorough, organized, and well supported.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and team members.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support the success of others.
