About The Position

Agility’s commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential. We are seeking a Staff Hardware Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive cross-functional execution and alignment for our next-generation hardware platforms. This role manages the complete hardware product development lifecycle from early concept and product definition to detailed design, build execution (EVT/DVT/PVT), validation, commercialization, and General Availability (GA). As the connective tissue of the hardware development organization, the Staff Hardware TPM coordinates multidisciplinary teams spanning core engineering, operations, go-to-market, and service organizations. You will establish scalable execution frameworks, manage the critical path, mitigate risks, and build structures that ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of complex hardware systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience leading complex hardware products through full lifecycle development (Concept to Volume Production / GA).
  • Strong deep-dive familiarity with Systems Engineering, Architecture development, HW, SW and test.
  • Demonstrated track record working with product requirements and managing early development.
  • Proven success collaborating across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing ops, and GTM teams.
  • Direct experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs), component vendors, and long-lead hardware procurement.
  • Strong ability to bring structure to greenfield/ambiguous environments, resolve priority conflicts, and influence cross-functional decisions without explicit authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex technical risks to executive stakeholders.
  • Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Own integrated execution planning and delivery tracking across all stages of hardware development (Concept → Architecture Definition → Detailed Design → Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT Builds → Mass Production & GA).
  • Define, track, and manage the integrated master schedule, dependencies, hardware build readiness, and critical path milestones across hardware, firmware, and release streams.
  • Proactively identify program risks, long-lead component bottlenecks, resourcing gaps, and technical trade-offs; drive mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
  • Serve as the central coordination point across Product, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Firmware (FW) and SW teams.
  • Facilitate interface alignment, system-level trade-off discussions, and structured technical review cycles across hardware and software disciplines.
  • Coordinate prototype build bring-up, joint HW/FW integration, and system validation (EVT/DVT) testing cycles to ensure functional and quality gates are met.
  • Partner closely with New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to track component readiness, tooling leads, vendor deliverables, and factory build execution.
  • Ensure DFM/DFA/DFT requirements are integrated into early mechanical and electrical detailed design phases.
  • Manage program level tracking for BOM health, unit economics, tooling capital expenditure, and vendor execution dependencies.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Services, and Field Operations teams to align delivery schedules with launch readiness, field support structures, and commercial milestones.
  • Drive regular operational reviews, maintain program dashboards, and communicate status, trade-offs, and critical escalations to executive leadership.
  • Build and refine scalable hardware governance, gate-review processes, and execution frameworks tailored for rapid scaling.
  • Conduct post-build retrospectives to elevate predictable execution across development cycles.
