As a member of the Silicon System Architecture team, you will drive the hardware/software co-design of next-generation SoCs. By leveraging your deep systems expertise, you will directly shape the roadmap for custom IP, SoC platforms, and system software. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with Mobile/Embedded SoCs.
  • Experience designing system architecture from a software perspective.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • Expertise with Android architecture, Kernel, frameworks, services, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of interactions between software and different IP blocks, general and special purpose compute units.
  • Understanding of computer architecture in embedded systems.
  • Ability to traverse across the stack from Silicon to Apps.

Responsibilities

  • Guide strategic hardware decisions through deep-dive analysis of full-system workloads and first-party software stacks.
  • Shape software architecture to unlock the full potential and specialized capabilities of custom silicon.
  • Partner with Google Research, Pixel, and platform software teams to engineer category-defining features and user experiences.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions that optimize for power, performance, and area (PPA) targets.
  • Manage complex system-level bottlenecks by advocating bold, creative architectural approaches.
