Staff Global Supply Manager, NPI

ALSOPalo Alto, CA

About The Position

ALSO is launching a lot of new and exciting platforms, and we're moving fast. We need someone who can keep up with the pace and deliver — turning program plans into sourcing action and making sure every part on a new vehicle has a credible path to a supplier, a price, and a launch date. This is a program-facing, cross-commodity Staff Global Supply Manager role focused in on the New Product Integration. You'll be the Supply Chain anchor inside our new program forums, partnering closely with our Staff GSMs across Chassis, Battery, High Voltage, Low Voltage, and other commodity domains. You'll orchestrate their work against program timing while owning the end-to-end sourcing picture for the programs you support — and you'll be the single accountable Supply Chain partner for Product, Engineering, Design, Finance, and Commercial on every program decision that touches the supply base. You'll report to the Director of Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in sourcing/procurement/supply chain, with strong NPI/program experience (automotive, EV, or tier-1 preferred).
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end sourcing across multi-commodity programs (RFQs → supplier selection → SOP).
  • Strong commercial acumen: should-costing, BOM roll-ups, cost targets, and program cost tracking.
  • Ability to influence senior commodity leaders without direct ownership.
  • Strong cross-functional partner—able to align Product, Engineering, Design, Finance, and Commercial.
  • Solid program management skills—manage complexity, drive execution, and deliver in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Direct experience with EV-relevant commodities — battery cells/packs, power electronics, e-motors, high-voltage systems, low-voltage electronics, or thermal management.
  • Startup or fast-moving program environment experience where sourcing decisions get made with imperfect information and timelines move.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and standard automotive launch processes.
  • Exposure to global supply base management across North America, Europe, and Asia, including an understanding of regional cost structures, logistics, and trade considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Supply Chain lead in program forums—providing updates, highlighting risks, and translating decisions into sourcing actions.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for new programs (make vs. buy, supplier selection, sourcing model, and risk approach).
  • Partner with Staff GSMs across key commodity areas to align on suppliers and execution.
  • Drive RFQs end-to-end—ensuring BOM readiness, timely releases, and on-schedule sourcing decisions.
  • Manage program-level BOM cost—track against targets, identify gaps, and drive cost reductions.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Engineering to set cost targets and validate supplier quotes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, and Commercial to align sourcing with program goals.
  • Track and manage sourcing risks, including supplier readiness, capacity, and timing.
  • Ensure supplier readiness through launch—supporting builds, validation, and ramp to production.
