Staff Geologist/Engineer -Geotech
About The Position
Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Staff Geotechnical Engineer/Staff Geologist supporting our geotechnical engineering practice. Our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role will be responsible for performing field and laboratory sampling and testing, scheduling of projects with vendors and field personnel, typing of boring logs/lab data, assisting the project management team with geologic research, preparing site plans and other report exhibits, and assisting with report and proposal preparation. The job may require some infrequent out of town travel.
Requirements
- 0-2 years’ experience in soils reports, soil laboratory testing, or other engineering/construction activities
- Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
- Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
- Some parts of the job may require bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift.
- Field work including hand-augers, infiltration tests, logging and sampling of soil borings, will be needed from time to time
- Laboratory work, including lifting and moving soil samples and lab equipment, sieving of soils and aggregate, etc. will be needed from time to time
- Proficiency on Microsoft Office Software or similar software preferred

- Engineering or Geology degree is a BIG PLUS
