The Application Software team at Zipline builds the products and platforms that power the autonomous delivery network, connecting customers, partners, aircraft, operators, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and field operations into a scalable system. These systems encompass partner onboarding, marketplace operations, fleet visibility, fulfillment, billing, support, manufacturing workflows, inventory, asset health, and operational control. The work is broad, full-stack, and consequential, directly shaping how Zipline serves customers, supports partners, scales operations, and runs its global autonomous logistics network.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping production software systems
  • Strong full-stack fundamentals across frontend, backend, services, and data
  • Ability to turn ambiguous, high-stakes problems into simple, reliable software
  • Combination of product instinct with systems judgment
  • Deep care for reliability, correctness, usability, and operational trust
  • Enjoy working directly with users and stakeholders to understand real workflows

Responsibilities

  • Own high-impact software across one or more parts of Zipline’s application platform, such as partner, merchant, and internal operations tools.
  • Develop marketplace, fulfillment, billing, and support systems that connect demand, delivery, and financial correctness.
  • Build network operations software for simulation, real-time visibility, intervention, orchestration, maintenance, and asset health.
  • Create enterprise systems that power manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, traceability, finance, quality, and field operations.
  • Work closely with users and stakeholders, including operators, field teams, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, commercial, product, and partner teams.
  • Identify ambiguous problems, design durable systems, build production software end to end, and drive adoption.
  • Solve complex problems related to real-time visibility in a physical network, network resilience under changing conditions, traceable financial and operational systems, automated workflows across various operations, and software scalability across diverse geographies and delivery volumes.
