About The Position

fomo is a trading app for the rest of us. With fomo you can sign up in seconds and have instant access to any asset on-chain without the need for external wallets, bridges or prior knowledge. fomo has social features that are actually useful - follow top traders (with full access to their portfolio and trades) and find tokens early. fomo does all of this while providing the best-in-class execution and data for experienced traders. In just over a year, fomo has onboarded over half a million users who have collectively done over $3.5 billion dollars in trading volume. You’ll be joining a team of 8 on the engineering side: 3 frontend engineers, 5 backend engineers. Everyone on the team is crypto-native with experience from companies like dYdX, Uniswap, and OpenSea. We have high standards for ourselves and the people we work with. You’ll own our two primary app surfaces: our mobile app and our web app. Our mobile app is an Expo app and our web app is a React Router + Vite app. This is an exciting time to join as we prepare to take fomo to the next level. In the next few months we plan to: Add new order types, Add new asset classes (examples: perpetuals, prediction markets), Double down on new social features. Engineers at fomo aren’t constrained to any specific area - while this is primarily a frontend role, we encourage engineers to make changes across the stack where it makes sense. This role is in-person in NYC. We have a strong in-person culture and just moved into a new spacious office in Soho.
