Staff Financial Analyst
About The Position
Cadence is seeking a system- and process-improvement-driven, analytically strong Staff Finance Analyst to join its Commissions Operations team. The role works with the Commissions and Sales Operations teams to improve processes and introduce automation, helping scale operations, improve accuracy, and reduce risk to financial results related to the commissions system. The position is suited to someone curious and motivated to improve and innovate, with solid finance fundamentals and hands-on Excel proficiency. The analyst will gain exposure to Cadence’s systems landscape, work alongside experienced finance and systems teams, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the company’s infrastructure in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with commissions systems and familiarity with finance data extraction and reporting workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
- Around 5 years of progressive experience, ideally within the technology industry.
- Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, look-ups, data manipulation, and building structured workbooks.
- Solid analytical skills, high attention to detail, and comfort working with large data sets.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commissions software and exposure to Sales Compensation plans and operations.
- Working knowledge of revenue accounting principles; ASC 606 or software revenue recognition concepts are a plus.
- A track record of process improvement and automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Get involved in commissions operations details and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate steps and processes.
- Liaise with Sales Operations on inputs and outputs between the teams.
