About The Position

This position will assist the project team and Project Manager in providing field support, and technical assistance on environmental investigation and remediation projects. The role involves coordinating and implementing field project work, overseeing drilling, monitoring, sampling of typical environmental media, treatment system operations, and subcontractors. Additionally, the Staff Environmental Engineer II will prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and other necessary details to ensure report completeness, and analyze field data and project work to ensure effective project completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
  • Minimum of 1 year of environmental consulting experience
  • Proficient in performing various routine field activities including but not limited to applying proper sampling techniques for all environmental media
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field
  • Preliminary data evaluation and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive to different project sites

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing remedial contractors in the performance of excavation, injections, system installation and the implementation of other remedial technologies
  • Ability to assist in the preparation of the major components of routine deliverables (i.e., tables, figures, appendices, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of Staff I level professionals based on direct hands-on interactions
  • Ability to manage tasks or projects to develop project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement field project work

  • Analyze field data and project work to ensure effective project completion
  • Provide field support and technical assistance on environmental investigation and remediation projects
  • Oversee remedial contractors in the performance of excavation, injections, system installation and the implementation of other remedial technologies
  • Manage and direct junior field staff
  • Assist in the preparation of the major components of routine deliverables (i.e., tables, figures, appendices, etc.)
  • Support the technical growth of Staff I level professionals based on direct hands-on interactions
  • Manage tasks or projects to develop project management skills
