About The Position

Geoquest USA, Inc. (formerly The Reinforced Earth Company) designs and supplies proprietary retaining wall systems and earth-related technologies for civil engineering projects. The company works as a subcontractor and material supplier on projects owned by state departments of transportation and private entities, supporting work that ranges from sales and marketing to engineering, supply, and construction. The Staff Engineer coordinates design projects for an assigned region with the Regional Manager, ensuring engineering analyses and designs are completed and submitted on schedule using innovative, cost-conscious methods. The role incorporates owner-provided information into Geoquest USA plans and details, identifies conflicts between company products and owner documents, and coordinates resolutions with external parties. It also provides quality control for regional design and drafting work and supports entry-level design engineers in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Additional work includes preparing or reviewing material takeoffs, drafting wall elevations and details, attending engineering meetings and training, and contributing to assigned departmental initiatives. As the role develops, the engineer may help improve products and design procedures, communicate with potential clients about Geoquest products, and perform advanced design and analysis of non-standard products. The position is carried out in a traditional office environment. Employees are expected to follow safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.
