About The Position

Intertek is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in Dallas, Texas. This role offers an opportunity to build a career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US-based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction, with services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The Geotechnical Staff Engineer will be responsible for preparing proposals, drilling plans, and laboratory assignments, conducting independent evaluations using standard techniques and engineering theory, and making minor adaptations under the guidance of senior engineering staff.

Requirements

Master's degree (MS) from an ABET accredited college or university in Geotechnical Engineering required
Valid Driver's License and reilable driving record is required
Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
May travel up to 15% of time
Ability to read and understand work plans
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication
Proficiency in engineering software in discipline (GeoStudio, LPILE, APILE, SHAFT, GROUP, SLIDE, Settle3D)

Nice To Haves

Previous geotechnical engineering experience is highly preferred
Experience with PLAXIS 2D and 3D

Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary geotechnical reports, scopes, budgets and schedules for projects as per specifications
Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams
Work on one or multiple projects at a time
May perform on-site observations or inspections
