Staff Engineer, Firmware Engineering

Analog Devices•Colorado Springs, CO

About The Position

Analog Devices’ Cloud and Datacenter Power business unit is seeking an experienced firmware engineer to develop next-generation multiphase buck voltage-regulator solutions for the datacenter and communications markets. The role involves defining, implementing, and verifying firmware for digital and mixed-signal SoC and ASIC designs, including chips and products used for power delivery. The preferred location is Colorado Springs, Colorado; the Raleigh, North Carolina design center is also a possible alternative. The engineer will develop and validate embedded assembly and C firmware and low-level system software, understand subsystem requirements, and validate chip and system operation. Firmware testing and debugging takes place through Verilog simulations, FPGA-based emulation platforms, and chips, using lab equipment and automation. The role also involves producing well-documented firmware, following and enhancing coding and documentation standards, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with analog, digital, and system designers, product definers, applications engineers, and software teams. The position offers a flexible work policy that includes remote work days and alternative schedule options. The role requires 10% travel and is a first-shift/day position. Applicants may be subject to export licensing review if the work requires access to technical data, with stated exceptions for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and protected individuals.
