About The Position

Develop platform strategies and electrical architectures that support future electrical and electronic systems across Polaris Powersports platforms. In this role, you will define system requirements, support feature development planning, and work closely with vehicle architects, systems engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable technical solutions. You will help guide platform development activities by aligning customer needs, technology roadmaps, regulatory requirements, and product development objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Experience with circuit design, system-level design, component specifications, and requirements management.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit analysis and design.
  • Experience using electronic schematic capture and circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience designing electrical systems for vehicle or machine control systems.
  • Product development experience.
  • Experience with wire harness design and Controller Area Network (CAN) systems.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience using electrical test and assembly equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with domestic and international technology partners.
  • Familiarity with global regulations, compliance standards, and industry requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-range product plans by aligning system needs with customer requirements and technology roadmaps.
  • Develop electrical architectures that support feature solutions across Polaris Powersports platforms.
  • Define high-level system and feature requirements for new solutions and technologies.
  • Support development of directional cost estimates for proposed architectures and features.
  • Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activities for new feature development.
  • Review cybersecurity assessments on powersports platforms and implement requirements into respective electrical architectures.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with broader platform strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify platform elements requiring pre-development activities and technology maturation.
  • Develop detailed system requirements in collaboration with vehicle architects and electrical systems engineers.
  • Integrate architecture and system requirements into vehicle platform designs with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Participate in product development process reviews and support technical decision-making for assigned vehicle platforms.
  • Partner with feature development teams to establish control system plans and identify desired system parameters.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, and component subject matter experts to develop testing strategies, controllers, and supporting components.
