NeuroBionics, an MIT neurotechnology spinout, is developing novel implantable devices that interface seamlessly with the human body to treat neurological conditions. Leveraging over a decade of innovation, we have engineered a novel neural interface using microscale, flexible, bioelectronic fibers that can be delivered into the body through minimally invasive endovascular approaches. By making neural interfacing a minimally invasive procedure, we aim to revolutionize deep brain stimulation and broaden access to life-changing neuromodulation therapies to millions of patients. We are seeking a hands-on Staff Engineer to own the design, development, and iteration of catheter delivery systems for our endovascular neuromodulation platform. In this role, you will lead the engineering of catheter and delivery systems that navigate complex neurovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy to precisely deploy our proprietary evFiber endovascular neuromodulation lead. You will work closely with our Head of Innovation, CTO, and the broader engineering team as a key individual contributor and collaborative team member. This is a highly hands-on role — you will be in the lab building, testing, and iterating prototypes as well as developing jigs fixtures and tooling to support R&D and small-scale manufacturing activities. Job title will be adjusted based on experience. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join a small, early-stage, VC-backed neurotechnology startup, work on cutting-edge implantable technology, and make a meaningful contribution to a company and platform from the ground up. This position will be on-site in Somerville, MA.
