About The Position

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that enable the world’s leading chipmakers to produce faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market, and service these advanced systems, which power the next generation of electronics. We are seeking an Engineer to lead the evolution of our build and toolchain architecture, focusing on reproducible builds, hermetic environments, artifact packaging/distribution, and developer productivity. This role will modernize legacy workflows, define engineering standards, and drive adoption of scalable build and packaging practices across a globally distributed engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years Linux-based distributed systems experience.
  • Experience with large-scale build systems or toolchains.
  • Experience with packaging and artifact management.
  • Proven cross-team leadership.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to design scalable systems.

  • Experience with build graph optimization and caching.
  • Knowledge of artifact signing and supply chain security.
  • Experience modernizing build ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement target architecture for build systems, toolchains, dependency modeling, packaging, and artifact lifecycle management.
  • Design and deliver hermetic and reproducible build systems, including executor access control and network isolation.
  • Establish deterministic build practices such as pinned toolchains and controlled dependencies.
  • Standardize artifact versioning, storage, promotion, and consumption patterns.
  • Improve packaging consistency across dev, CI, and release environments.
  • Optimize build/test performance using caching and incremental builds.
  • Develop self-service tooling for developer productivity.
  • Integrate artifact integrity and provenance into pipelines.
  • Lead cross-team adoption of build/toolchain practices.
  • Modernize legacy build systems without disrupting delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
