About The Position

Join a team focused on advancing the manufacturing and sustainment of innovative surgical instruments used by healthcare professionals around the world. As a Staff Electrical Engineer you will play a key role in developing, validating, and improving manufacturing processes while partnering with cross-functional teams to support both new product introductions and existing product lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, product development, or research and development environment.
  • Experience supporting electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with process development, validation, and manufacturing documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with printed circuit board assembly manufacturing and testing.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability and design for test methodologies.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with assembly processes including soldering, potting, pressing, torque-controlled assembly, or plastic molding operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assemblies, including printed circuit board assemblies, soldering, potting, pressing, torque-controlled assembly, plastic molding, and manual assembly operations.
  • Partner with internal and contract manufacturing teams to implement scalable, repeatable, and compliant production processes.
  • Lead or support capital equipment projects, including equipment specification, supplier selection, installation, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Design and validate manufacturing processes for new product development, ensuring manufacturability and efficient assembly methods.
  • Analyze process performance, collect operating data, conduct experiments, and implement improvements based on statistical and technical findings.
  • Collaborate with quality partners to develop testing methods, inspection protocols, and process controls that meet product and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in risk management activities, including process failure analysis, control plan development, standard operating procedure creation, and product transfer documentation.
  • Review, approve, and maintain process validation, inspection, and production documentation to support manufacturing readiness and compliance.
