About The Position

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital has a Per Diem Staff Educator Position Available! Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit—the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families.

Position Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing, conducting and evaluating in-service programs, orientation and continuing education for nurses, nursing students and other staff; establishes educational policies and procedures; acts as a resource person to staff and management; participates in CQI performance improvement activities; serves on special committee.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in employee training, safety training and or related field.

Nice To Haves

• CPI Certification, preferred.
• Bachelors Degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs orientation programs, inservies and continuing education.
• Supervises student education programs and ensures compliance with standards
• Continually evaluates the training needs, determines effectiveness of educational programs.
• Participates in continues quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensures all documentation is survey ready and in compliance at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
