About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff DevOps Software Engineer to join the SIGINT Technology Center (STC) in Chantilly, VA. The STC focuses on technology and teamwork to meet the needs of the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, working on projects ranging from UAV SIGINT payload development to OCONUS/CONUS mission support. This role specifically supports programs involving SIGINT payloads integrated on airborne and ground platforms, covering Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Research and Development (R&D), and low-quantity production. The team provides 24/7/365 subject matter expert support for a global portfolio of 9 system types and 32 fielded systems. The Staff DevOps Software Engineer will support engineering and O&M task orders by developing a general knowledge of systems and software architectures, and by building infrastructure and processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent STEM related discipline with minimum 12 years of experience, Masters degree with minimum 10 years of experience , or PhD with minimum 8 years of experience.
  • US citizenship is required with an active Secret clearance. Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • A background in software DevOps for both software and hardware integration
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools
  • Jenkins administration and pipeline development experience
  • Experience with network engineering (TCP/IP, VLAN, network protocols, etc.)
  • Knowledge and familiarity with using and building Windows and Linux Operating Systems
  • Demonstrated experience in documentation and process development
  • Experience maintaining and administrating a Git version control system
  • Knowledgeable with the development lifecycle, including the V-model of the systems engineering process.
  • Strong interdisciplinary problem-solving skills, demonstrated by frequent and successful application of technical standards, theories, concepts, and techniques

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug software development environments and software pipelines
