About The Position

As our full-time Staff Development / Infection Control Nurse, you will help create a confident, well-trained team while supporting a positive and safe care environment for residents. This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. You will orient and train new employees, provide ongoing education, coaching, and on-the-spot training, and coordinate required staff development programs and competency training. You will also complete audits, maintain documentation, and follow up on opportunities for improvement. As the Infection Control Nurse, you will lead infection prevention efforts throughout the community by monitoring for potential concerns, taking proactive steps to help prevent outbreaks, and coordinating outbreak response when needed. This includes providing education, communication, tracking, and follow-up for team members and departments. You will partner with department leaders to ensure team members have the knowledge and resources needed to provide exceptional care. This position also participates in an on-call rotation, including weekend coverage, and may provide clinical leadership support in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with a CPR certification
