About The Position

The Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Preventionist implements measures that will protect the residents and staff in the community. The SDC/IP is responsible for assessing the education needs of the staff and coordinate programs based upon identified needs and ensure State and Federal compliance. They are responsible for conducting education, skills competencies, training, clinical observations, and quality assurance audit tools as directed by the Director of Nursing Services. The SDC/IP is responsible for assisting with new employee hiring. This role requires a high level of engagement with staff to champion employee recognition and retention programs while serving as an advocate for growth and development within the company.

Requirements

  • Active Indiana RN license or ability to obtain Indiana license.
  • Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training through the CDC (can be provided at this facility upon hire), or advanced training in infection prevention and control.
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
