Our Structures team specializes in developing engineering solutions for short to medium span bridges on a national scale. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, strong preference for degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis.
- Minimum 2-years of experience working on civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Excel required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to develop and maintain strong team and client relationships.
- High level of analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, finite element analysis, and/or structural analysis software is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering and drawing submittals for customers in collaboration with Engineering and CAD teams.
- Assist the field sales team in integrating Contech's products into site plans, focusing on precast concrete bridge products.
- Prepare engineering drawings and calculations.
- Review project plans and develop project solutions.
- Provide technical advice.
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge elements, including superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team for proper fabrication of Contech products.
- Coordinate with field sales and manufacturing teams to address design, manufacture, and installation questions and concerns.
- Maintain working knowledge of governing specifications for Contech products and contribute to their development, writing, and modification.
- Assist in writing and developing technical papers and product literature to support, promote, and train stakeholders.
- Stay updated with knowledge and certifications in the civil/structural engineering field.
- Attend industry trade shows, continuing education courses, and seminars as needed.
