About The Position

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Staff Dentist to join their practice. The dentist will be part of the Center Health Care team and will primarily care for individuals with disabilities, as well as the general population. This position is based in Albany, NY. The Center for Disability Services has been a leading provider of programs and services for individuals with disabilities in upstate New York for 80 years, offering innovative and vital services.

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree
• Current license and registration to practice Dentistry in New York State
• At least 1 year of job related experience, specifically in dentistry and/or completion of a residency program in dental care/specialty
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnosis, treatment, consultations, and follow-up care for patients.
• Deliver preventive, restorative, and routine dental services in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform dental procedures and prescribe medications as appropriate within the scope of practice.
• Educate patients and caregivers on oral health, preventive care, and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote oral health and wellness.
• Provide optimum dental care for patients/clients, including preventive and routine care, according to current professional guidelines and best practice.
