The Staff Planning Analyst is responsible for end‑to‑end after-market service parts planning, managing demand, supply, and inventory from process design through execution. This role plays a key part in balancing inventory optimization, on‑time delivery, cost control, and customer satisfaction, while proactively navigating supply chain constraints and identifying innovative planning solutions. This position reports to the Director Instruments Operations Planning and is part of the Contract Mfg, Service, and Pilot Operations located in Sunnyvale, California and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with aftermarket service parts planning or complex, multi‑node supply networks preferred
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions
  • Communicate difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Spares Part Planning Software such as Baxter, PTC, and SAP/ERP
  • Medical device experience is preferred
  • Database Management and SQL

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute end‑to‑end demand, supply, and inventory planning for aftermarket service parts to ensure product availability and high service levels
  • Develop and maintain demand and supply plans that balance forecast accuracy, inventory targets, and on‑time delivery performance
  • Drive scalable, analytics‑led planning processes by leveraging systems, automation, and advanced data analysis to minimize manual intervention, prevent unvalidated demand from entering the pipeline, and proactively manage risks to inventory balance, service levels, and capacity.
  • Maintain and continuously improve planning parameters and system settings to drive inventory efficiency, network performance, and financial outcomes
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Customer Care, Logistics, Order Management, and Procurement to resolve supply risks, prioritize customer needs, and identify cost‑reduction and network optimization opportunities
