About The Position

Campus is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to contribute to making Campus a world-class data-driven organization. This role demands deep analytical expertise, strong technical skills, and a strategic approach to transform data into actionable insights that enhance student acquisition, engagement, and retention. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to design experiments, develop predictive models, and deliver insights that significantly impact key business outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to operations research and workforce analytics
  • Experience working on software products geared towards sales, customer success, support, coaching teams
  • Conducted or measured studies and experiments focused around human interventions
  • Comfortable with ML deployment and observability

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Campus’ student-facing teams’ impact on enrollment, retention, and academic outcomes - from admissions and financial aid to coaching and tutoring teams
  • Build a comprehensive measurement framework for student-facing teams’ effectiveness and efficiency
  • Identify and execute top opportunities to improve student outcomes using causal inference and experimentation
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations on integrating behavioral signals and predictive modeling outcomes’ into team workflows
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Engineering to optimize student impact staff journey at Campus - from hiring and training to software tooling and automation
