About The Position

Robinhood is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join the Talent Management & Analytics team. This role will focus on integrating advanced predictive insights and tactical AI into workforce systems, aiming to help the company recruit talent, design high-performing teams, and provide organizational insights to decision-makers. The position operates at the intersection of data science, product development, and organizational psychology. The Staff Data Scientist will be a technical and strategic anchor, responsible for the vision, design, and delivery of high-impact data products for executives, people partners, and line managers. The role involves solving organizational problems related to talent thriving, team performance, and long-term retention, with an emphasis on applying state-of-the-art language models and predictive analytics. This role is based in Menlo Park, CA, Chicago, IL, and New York, NY offices, requiring in-person attendance at least 3 days per week, emphasizing the value Robinhood places on in-person collaboration for progress, innovation, and community.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data science experience.
  • Advanced skills in Python and SQL.
  • Direct experience with modern data infrastructure like Snowflake, BigQuery, or dbt.
  • Strong product focus and experience defining user requirements, collaborating with engineers, and launching internal data tools.
  • Deep understanding of statistics, experimental design, and psychometrics or survey methodology.
  • Direct experience integrating language models into data pipelines for text processing and summarization.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the next phase of talent intelligence by building predictive frameworks that forecast workforce trends.
  • Architect a unified workforce data model by integrating data from various systems and using AI-native workflows for text processing.
  • Define the metrics dictionary and semantic layer to standardize workforce metric measurement.
  • Drive data access control and governance to ensure secure and appropriate access to sensitive personnel data.
  • Redesign employee sentiment architecture for a continuous, real-time listening framework.
  • Own product delivery as the technical product owner for internal data interfaces, collaborating with Enterprise Engineering.
  • Enforce rigorous statistical standards using experimental design, A/B testing, and psychometric methodologies.
