This PRN position involves maintaining and enhancing the Department of Pharmacy's operations. The role includes responsibilities related to medication selection, procurement, storage, order entry, preparation, labeling, dispensing, and quality improvement. The pharmacist will ensure patient identification, accurately prepare and dispense medications, compound sterile products, and manage controlled substances. A key aspect of the role is monitoring drug therapy, participating in dosing services, interpreting culture and sensitivity data, and providing clinical consultation to medical staff. The position also requires documenting clinical activities, detecting adverse drug events, and sustaining the formulary through therapeutic substitution and rational drug therapy promotion. This role is on an as-needed basis for vacation and sick relief, with no weekend or on-call requirements.
