About The Position

This position will assist the project team on civil/ environmental engineering design, investigation/ remediation, and other projects. The role involves both office and field work, requiring the ability to perform various routine field activities such as applying proper sampling techniques for all environmental media and overseeing and directing subcontractors. The engineer will assist in the preparation of technical reports and support design projects using AutoCAD/AutoCAD 3D.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preliminary data evaluation and analytical skills.
• Ability to assist in the preparation of the major components of routine deliverables (i.e., tables, figures, appendices, etc.).
• Exhibits strong work ethic, positive attitude, and general enthusiasm for the work.
• Ability to safely perform various routine field activities.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer -in-Training (EIT) preferred.
• Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Drainage design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in the development of engineering documents including plans, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Use of AutoCAD/AutoCAD 3D to support design projects.
• Provide quality assurance during construction.
• Prepare technical reports by coordinating figures, data tables, site descriptions, and other necessary details to ensure report completeness.
• Assists other technical staff in calibration of sampling/monitoring equipment, soil sampling, well installation, development and purging, groundwater sampling, vapor/indoor air sampling, remediation monitoring, and oversight.
• Perform sample collection, recording of operational/meter parameters, and oversight of subcontractors (e.g., drillers, heavy equipment operators, truckers).
• Apply proper sampling techniques for all environmental media.
• Oversee and direct subcontractors.
