Responsible for delivering a person-centered ministry of spiritual care, support, and sacraments for patients, families, physicians, and hospital personnel. This role involves providing spiritual care services, consultation, and support, facilitating sacramental ministries, and responding to emergencies and crises. The chaplain also assists families with communication of care wishes through Advance Directives and identifies complex ethical issues. Additionally, the role contributes to the department's integrated services through site coverage, chapel services, and committee participation. The chaplain supports the Advocate Mission, Values, and Philosophy and serves as a resource to community clergy and groups. Maintaining good standing and ecclesiastical endorsement through active participation in the faith community is also required.
