Requirements

10+ years of experience in backend engineering using Python.
Strong technical leadership experience, including architecting complex systems, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices in fast-paced or entrepreneurial environments.
Proactive and hands-on approach, taking initiative and figuring things out.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly, approaching problems with creativity and energy.
Resourceful, adaptable, and excited by tough challenges.
Customer-oriented mindset, focusing on creating reliable, scalable systems that deliver clean, auditable data and delightful speed/accuracy.
Collaborative spirit, valuing transparency and good communication.

Responsibilities

Build and lead data models, core backend infrastructure and services, and ship new features in Python.
Own scalable APIs, robust data ingestion pipelines that pull documents from dozens of private market portals, event-driven processing systems, and integrations that feed our proprietary AI extraction engine.
Set technical direction and make high-impact architectural decisions.
Brainstorm and help shape product direction and tech strategy.
Work with clients, including pitching customers, designing features, and soliciting feedback.
Champion best practices and guide others in defining and maintaining standards.
Mentor engineers and help build a high-performing backend team as the company grows.
