About The Position

The Staff Attorney will conduct client calls to answer legal questions, explain the immigration process, and provide case-related information, ensuring clients are informed and supported throughout their immigration journey. No immigration experience is necessary, as training will be provided on the types of cases you will be working on, but an interest in immigration law is preferred. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, able to follow detailed instructions, and motivated to help our clients obtain documents and stay united with their families. There is an opportunity for career growth and additional responsibilities with strong performance. This is a Remote role for Attorneys based in The United States.

Requirements

J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
Active member in good standing of a state bar
Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
Ability to follow detailed directions
Experience using a case management software system
Immigration law experience
Support mission of helping people currently living in America obtain their documents and stay together with their family
Computer skills (Typing - MS Word and MS Excel, Document Management-DropBox, Email - MS Outlook)

Responsibilities

Conduct client calls to answer legal questions related to their immigration cases and provide case status updates within established guidelines
Explain legal processes and next steps to clients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner
Review draft immigration applications pursuant to instructions from Senior Attorneys
Identify, track, and make necessary edits prior to submission
Clearly communicate to other team members regarding edits
Meet daily goals on reviewing cases and client calls
Perform legal research on immigration law topics
