The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland (PBRC) is seeking a highly competent and conscientious attorney with a commitment to public interest lawyering for its Courtroom Advocacy Project (CAP). CAP is an innovative pro bono program that provides day-of-court, limited scope representation to consumers and tenants in district court, as well as full representation in eviction-related matters. The CAP staff attorney will develop expertise in tenant and consumer advocacy, and assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteer attorneys. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys court representation, and is a cooperative, reliable team-player and self-starter. The ideal candidate is passionate about advocating for low-income consumers and tenants and enthusiastic about developing expertise in limited scope, day-of-court legal triage and representation, as well as litigation and trial skills.
