This is a Regular Full Time, Exempt position reporting to the Familias Unidas Director. The role provides legal assistance to community members through direct representation, individual consultations, self-help assistance, community workshops, legal clinics, and naturalization preparation classes. The focus is on providing legal representation in various matters, particularly family-based petitions, deferred action petitions, naturalization, humanitarian visas, and removal defense. The attorney will represent clients before USCIS and NVC, conduct community education and advocacy, assist with grant research and writing, plan community events, travel across Idaho for services and outreach, speak on behalf of CC Idaho to lawmakers, work with community partners, assist in supervising DOJ accredited representatives, manage program communications (blog, social media), maintain case and grant management records, and ensure confidentiality. The position requires the ability to multitask, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain professional under pressure, adhering to all CC Idaho policies and regulations.
