About The Position

Proactively lead architecture activities that guide the design, development, and evolution of a portfolio of business solutions and related technologies. Provide leadership, analysis, and business domain technology expertise to ensure digital solutions meet business outcomes while aligning with enterprise architecture standards and governance. Business domain technologies cover many Supply Planning Capabilities, including Demand Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Supply Planning, & Supply Chain Monitoring/Optimization. Critical technologies include O9, OMP, and Analytics & Decision Management Platforms (e.g., Aera).

Requirements

  • Years of experience in relevant business solution & technology implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with modern off-the-shelf packaged solutions and/or digital product architectures (e.g., web and mobile applications, APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture).
  • A good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
  • A strong understanding of project and product delivery methodologies with the ability to advise teams on architectural impact, risks, and technical debt.
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, roadmaps & runways.
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior-level non-tech executives and technical audiences
  • A demonstrated passion for digital technology, continuous learning, and modern engineering practices

Responsibilities

  • Translate business & technical requirements, documenting solution architecture design & analysis.
  • Work closely with product owner & platform managers to ensure a robust architectural runway.
  • Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise solution design and change requirements.
  • Monitor the solution portfolio to identify deficiencies (aging & functional fit).
  • Understand emerging technology trends, and their practical application.
  • Consult with project, platform and product teams to fit solutions to architecture, identifying when it is necessary to modify designs.
  • Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture.
  • Work closely with the project, platform & product teams to ensure execution corresponds with the expected design & Enterprise Architecture.
  • Understand key platform capabilities & roadmaps, influencing 3rd parties & ensuring that we maximize technology/business-value.
  • Provide deliverables like standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs
  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Be an active member of the Architecture chapter, contribute to Architecture Review Board (ARB) decisions, and influence EA standards & frameworks.
